Slam Nation: Back To The Roots

The Go Basket organization has had the wonderful idea to pay hommage to those who have contributed the most to the developpment of the french dunk scene, in France and all around the world: The Slam Nation.
On the 30th of May, in the Léo Lagrange gym in Orchies (France), all the Slam Nation members (from the originators to the current team) will come together with a group of professional players for a very special game.
Kadour Ziani, Abdoul Bamba, Salomon Sami , Serge Moularé et all those who have left their mark on the history of the Dunk will be there…
13 years ago, the greatest French dunk contest of all times was held in this very same gym. The dunkers came for all over France to compete for the number one spot, and that’s how the Slam Nation was born.
For the 1st time since its creation, the Slam Nation will be reunited, and more than 20 dunkers will be there to showcase their skills in the gym where it all began. With so many talents on the same court, the game and the dunk contest should be breathtaking.
Here’s a quick list of some of the players and dunkers that will participate in the event: Salomon Sami (Ex professional player, ASVEL Pro A), Laurent Cazalon (Le Portel, Pro B), Joachim Ekanga (Paris Levallois, Pro B), Duke Tshomba (Pro Belge), Christian Mulumba aka 6kay & Icecross, and a lot more coming from all over France.
