League Play: No. Just pickup games.
Best time to Play: Everyday on summer. Weekends during the rest of the year.
The Deal: Boet is the best court in Mataró and one of the most famous in the area of Barcelona. It became famous when the local player Souleymane Drame, a member of the Spanish NT U18 that won the World Championship back in 1999, started to play there with some of his former teammates, the NBA and Olympic silver medalist Juan Carlos Navarro and Raül López.

Now this court has become a reference in Mataró and the surrounding area. People from Terrassa, Vilassar, Premià or even Barcelona come to play here. But not only local players ball on Boet, of course Dominican players and even Chinese ballers are to be found there.

Around this court was raised Streetball Mataró, a group of young people that is the core of the ballers that usually play in Boet. Leaded by Ángel and Carlos Ceacero, there are a group of ballers that meet every weekend or even daily during the summer to play. They both usually organize the pickup games and are the reference point for the ballers of the zone. Streetball Mataró has his own website, where every visitor can find videos, read about the ballers and the courts, and about another of the specialties of this group of people: Freestyle.

Carlos “Pollito” Ceacero is arguably the best freestyler in Spain, and together with his brother and two ballers more they have a group that has taken part in important exhibitions.  We will know more about all of them during the following weeks through their profiles.

They keep on promoting this court that is almost a shrine for streetball. So if you want to play some hoops in the area of Mataró your choice should be Boet. 24/365, you can ball there at anytime! boetfreestyle
