As a freshman at St. Joe’s, Chris Prescott gave the appearance of a guy who can flat out score it. Next year in the A-10, he’ll finally get the chance to show you. Watch out.

If you don’t believe me, just ask his coach. “Chris has a game beyond his years,” says coach Phil Martelli. “He possesses an unusual leadership ability for a guy his age.” With a year under his belt, Prescott has put the A-10 on notice.

Name: Chris Prescott

Age: 19

Hometown: Bloomfield, Connecticut

Height: 6-2

Weight: 190

Shoe size: 12

Position: Guard

My Home Court: My high school gym at Northwest Catholic High. I spent most of my time there, but I try and make every gym my home court.

Playing Experience: I started playing seriously in the third grade I played in every league - elementary school, middle school, high school and AAU for the Connecticut Basketball Club.

Current Team: St. Joe’s Hawks

Favorite Sneakers: Jordan 12s (black/white/red)

Favorite Player: Michael Jordan

Favorite Team: Don’t really have one. Every team I’m on is my favorite team, so right now it’s St. Joe’s.

Go-to-Move: Dribble hesitation and pull-up jumper from anywhere

I play: Everyday because I love the game

Coming up I admired: When I was young, Vince Carter, but when I got older, Gilbert Arenas. Now I’d say I like Kobe.

My basketball moment: Anytime I hit a game winner. I’ve hit a couple in my day. Not one is more important than the other because they all won the game. Those are my basketball moments.
