Name: David Hehn
Age: 26 and a half
Hometown: The S Dot a.k.a. Sarnia, Ontario, Canada, but currently residing in the good ol’ U.S. of A.
Height: 6-5 (with shoes on)
Weight: Playing weight, 200; current weight, 210. Getting’ on that P90X Workout this week though, so stay tuned.
Shoe size: A dozen
Position: Basketball player. That’s how I’d define my position. I wore many hats on the court, but shooting wasn’t one of them. Had the lock down D icon in EA NCAA 04 though. Holla.
My Home Court: Patrick Gym baby. Greatest time of my life.
Playing Experience: 4 years on the greatest UVM squad ever.
Current Team: Retired
Favorite Sneakers: This is too loaded of a question fellas. I’ll keep it simple though.
On the court: The Fab Five’s Air Max. I wanted to be Jalen Rose when I was a young’n.
In the boardroom: Geoffrey Rush
On the streets: My Doggy Biscuitz or Creative Recreation
Favorite Player: The Canadian Kid, Ray Allen and Delonte West. I love his game. The dude’s got swagger. Very consistent.
Favorite Team: I’m gonna justify myself after I tell you. The Boston Celtics. Wait, I know you think I probably am saying that because they got KG and Ray Allen so I jumped on the bandwagon. That is partially true I guess, but listen. I lived across the street from Key Arena in Seattle and decided that the Sonics were gonna be my team for life. I had their backs for two years straight. Then Ray Allen got traded, the team was being sold and at the same time I moved back to New England where I lived and passionately rooted for the Celtics for four years of college.
Go-to-Move: Hittin’ game winners like it was my job
I play: Not sure what you’re asking but I play tennis and squash now. Great games. Go play if you never have.
Coming up I admired: My Grandma Norma and my Grandpa Blake. You know those old, wise people that have all the answers in movies? That was them. And my parents and big brother. Greatest people on Earth.
My basketball moment: So many moments happened that were dreams I never imagined would actually come true. I don’t really care to try and sound conceited by explaining my biggest accomplishment from when I played, but I will say my personal experience and relationship with the game of basketball is something that I could never articulate. It was one long, long love story that ended very happily. Sorry, that sounds pretty lame, but it’s the truth. And like Coach TB [Tom Brennan] always told me, “nobody can ever take my experience away from me.” Be easy.
