Baller Profile: Carlos “Pollito” Ceacero

Spainballers|   January 30, 2009

Carlos Ceacero is not a common streetballer. His passion, and almost a way of life, is Freestyle. It’s impossible to see him without a ball spinning on any of his fingers, while he puts his arm below his leg and smiles looking at the camera, or hides the ball in his jersey to quickly throw it into the air after circling it around his body.

Once he dyed his hair blonde and people started calling him “Pollito” (which means little chicken in Spanish) and it has been his nick ever since. He is now considered the best specialist in Freestyle in Spain and he appeared on TV commercials, shows and exhibitions not only in Spain, but also abroad.

He started Freestyling when he first saw the famous Nike commercial. Now, among his favorite performances, with his three mates of Streetball Mataró (Ángel, Lluis and Brian), he can count Da Move in Italy, a feature for the Catalonian TV, a show in the halftime of a F.C. Barcelona - Efes Pilsen Euroleague game and some promo shows for stores.

He still trains every  day. “My neighbors and all the stuff in my room are suffering from my training sessions. We use to train on a court, but I keep on practicing while at home”, he tells us with a smile on his face. There are plenty of videos showing his abilities on the Internet, and he uses the web to learn new tricks from the best in the World. Besides, when he is not spinning the ball, he is a regular baller that loves to play on every court and at every moment.
